Measure & Build exists to answer one question well: how much material do I actually need?

Every DIY project starts with an estimate, and getting it wrong is expensive in both directions. Buy too little and you're back at the store mid-job, hoping the new batch matches. Buy too much and you've paid for material that ends up in the shed. Our calculators use the same estimating formulas the trades use, explained in plain language, with sensible allowances for wastage built in.

How we make our estimates

Each calculator page shows the formula it uses and the assumptions behind it. We deliberately round up where a professional would, and we flag where real-world coverage varies (paint coverage differs by brand and surface; concrete bags differ by mix). Our results are estimates for planning and budgeting — always confirm against the specific product you buy.
